Finishing Well

Hello friends,

It is with many memories and deep feelings that we relay to you the decision we have made over the course of the last year. January 1st 2013 will mark the end of our traveling ministry for the foreseeable future.

It has become very clear to us that this chapter of our journey, initiated by God, is drawing to a close. While we mourn the end of this season we also celebrate over a decade of ministry. It has been hard work and our families have paid a big price. The friends, songs, experiences, and lives changed as a result of hearing the truth of God's love have sustained us through many years and miles.

For those of you who know us well, you know that this is not a band break up. In fact, we are open to playing a select few shows or events in the future. After many years and miles spent together we have become a band of brothers who love each other dearly. There is not one single variable that has initiated this change; rather it would seem the same sovereign hand that has guided us together for this season is now leading us in different directions. We are grateful for the role you have played in our lives. Your encouragement and support over the years has carried us through thick and thin.

We have always wanted to finish well. We believe that means finishing together, as a band... and that is what we are going to do. We are working on setting up a few wrap-up shows this fall - more information will be forthcoming as things get solidified.

Sincerely,

Jason, Marc, Glenn, & Jeremy

I'm still trying to process this, and I'm not quite sure why it is take me so long. I guess that's a testiment to how much you guys have been a part of my life.

I never stop listening to music (got stuff I grew up listening to on iTunes along with you and newer artists), so know that you will always be listened to.

While this saddens me deeply, I can't really blame you. Family is most important, and I know what a toll it takes on them. I wish you all the best of luck and I have no doubt I will be purchasing more music from each of you in one way or another. Thank you for what you have given us. You guys are my absolute favorite.

Loved your music, your ministry, your passion, and your devotion to God's call. I can't even begin to imagine how many lives you have touched and had influence on. Loved every one of your shows I was fortunate enough to attend. I still say you are one of a few bands that put on a live performance that is nearly flawless. Wishing you and your families amazing futures. You guys will do an amazing job raising godly families. Hoping that one of your final gigs may end up near southwest Michigan so I can get one last listen. Thanks for everything!

I am sad to hear this but yet not surprised. Touring is undoubtably hard on your lives outside the music. I just wanted to THANK YOU for all of your amazing music over the years. I remember watching one of your first concerts at Briercrest Youth Quake in 2000 and thinking how awesome you were. I'm delighted to see what God did with your ministry over time and wish you all the best as you continue seeking him and growing in him. Thank you for letting God use you.

I am deeply saddened, but unsurprised by your announcement. I heard you play live in Edmonton at Breakforth this past year, when Marc announced that he would be taking leave to sing for Queen in place of Freddie Mercury. He asserted, after this announcement, that many Christian brothers and sisters asked him how he could take on the role of such a man and still maintain his testimony. His response to such comments, delivered forcefully there, was that "I am an ambassador for Christ, not for the church!". My response to this is a heartfelt cry to an awakening: Marc, you cannot submit to the Headship of Christ on one hand, and reject His Body on the other. Did not Christ ask: "Why do you call me Lord, Lord - and not do what I say?". He spoke truly, when He said "you cannot serve both God and Mammon."

The apostles and disciples did not retire from ministry, fight the good fight of the faith, and do not drop out of the race! Lord Jesus, have mercy and turn hearts Lord!

I don't know if you read these comments, but i have to try.
My name is Erick Teodosio, I'm brazilian and your songs changed my way to see the gospel music.

My first contatc was with "Raincoat" and i loved it. Then, I met all the first CD. During 2012, I bought and lessoned all your CD's.

Now, my life is so much better with your songs. During 4 months, I lessoned only Downhere. I didn't lesson other singers, just you.

I feel sorry because you won't record anymore, but I also know that your job is so amazing and will be here forever.

Thank you for bring God for us.

If you read this, please write for me: erickteod@yahoo.com.br

One more time, thank you.

I am sad and yet know you all must go where God leads. I will always remember the last 10 years as I saw you play live 4 times and met all of you. God was and always has been with you.

I feel it like I feel the presence of Jesus. THANK YOU.
