Retreat

As I write this, I am flying back from Vancouver with my wife after having had a great time in Winthrop, Washington. Our new record label, Centricity Records, organized a retreat for all of their artists, in a beautiful location in north central Washington State. And it wasn’t just the artists who were invited – they also invited spouses, which made the retreat even better. (However, we did miss Erin, Jeremy’s new bride.)

In preparation for this retreat, we as a band took the time to figure out why we do what we are doing, and how we are going to go about doing it. We put all of this down on paper so that we could share it with the staff of Centricity. It was a really great chance to organize our energies and focus on what we’re really about. It also gave Centricity a chance to figure out who we are and what we all need to do to achieve our goals together as a team.

Over the next few months, you’ll probably start to notice some changes, especially with our website and message board. We will be making a concerted effort to help grow and look after our online community. This is something we have tried to do from day one and I’ll admit we haven’t been doing so well lately but with some new tools and new people to help us out I think we should be able to do a great job.

After spending five days with our new label we are all very excited to be working with such great people. The leadership of this label is very family focused and ministry focused. They are also creative and generous and want to help their artists in whatever way they can. We can’t wait to get started on this next recording and get the machinery working.

If you have a minute stop by and visit our new label mates and learn something about the people we just spent our last week with.

This is so exciting for you all. God has already Blessed you as a band but it looks like he is moving you to another dimention to Bless you even more.

Sounds like this new label is going to be fabulous for you all, and what a way to start a new relationship by taking you all on such a fabulous retreat.

As family is so important to each of you it is even more awesome that this new label feels the same way about family. Looks like a great fit all around.

Glenn after stopping for a minute I feel compelled to pray with you and the guys. Hope you do not mind me putting it down here.

Heavenly Father you are such and awesome father. We give you thanks for being in all of our lives; we especially give thanks to you for using Downhere to minister through their music.

Father we give thanks for all the wonderful things that is happening for them at this time. Lord we give thanks for the new van that was given to them and Lord we thank you for their new label, Lord we give thanks to their families, friends, and fans. Mostly Father we give thanks to you, cause without you who knows.

Mostly Lord we give thanks that you are there guiding and leading them to carry your message through there songs Lord. The words they use through song have reached and help so many in ways they will never know Lord but I personally give thanks for their ministry to me.

Father I just pray that you keep blessing them, guiding them and keep them safe as they travel caring your word Lord. Lord we ask Blessing upon their new label as well. Heavenly Father over the next while there are so many new changes that will be happening for Downhere and we just ask God that as they make those changes that you are there helping, guiding and directing these changes, because Lord we know when you are there great things happen. Father as they try to grown and maintain their online community please Lord help them to do this in the way they would like to best reach the people.

Father as they begin on there new album Lord we ask for special Blessing upon them all.

In your name I am pray Lord. Amen
