Done!

Good news! The Christmas record has been completed after much hard work in plenty of time for its release in September. We're calling it "How Many Kings". We'll likely add ":a Christmas album", or something like that to the title to better describe the record's contents. Marketing. It's important. So I have to say that the record sounds like Downhere, and it sounds like Christmas... kind of a Christmassy, Downherey type deal - with a couple of stylistic surprises. There are epic moments, quiet moments, lighter moments - everything to suit the many moods of the Christmas season. Usually, after we finish a record, I'll send it to my family and some close friends. But this time it's different. If some other artist said me "hey I just finished my Christmas record, wanna hear it?" I think I'd be inclined to respond "hey, um, I'm really happy for you, but let me enjoy the summer and fall first... but I CAN'T wait to hear it!" But truthfully... I can wait. And so must you, my friends, and even my family.

Thank you for sparing us from having to deal with "Christmas in May!" (it's almost as bad as Christmas in July!)

Although... every day is a celebration of Christ... should we be so quick to judge the season?

Hmm... I say hmm...

I suppose it is fair to make us wait until September. From what I've heard, it sounds like it's going to be an excellent album! It shall bring much merriment to the stressed out shoppers...

And remind them what Christmas is all about.

But what about for those of us who listen to Christmas music year-round. Yeah, I'm one of those people.

But I guess I'm content to wait along with everyone else. September will be here before I can turn around. Figuratively speaking, because I can turn around in about two seconds....

Ok Marc, just call my cell phone and sing to me and I'll happily wait until September for the new album.

Seriously though I'm stoked to have a downhere Christmas album. You guys are my absolute favorite band.

Quick! I need new Downhere songs to sing along with in the office...not that Christmas songs accompanied by MY voice will be much appreciated at any time of year, but at least my coworkers will have a day or two before I figure out all the lyrics and happily karaoke out at my desk.

And for Emily Lynn, if you spin around on one toe, it can go faster than even one second - and I shall do that many many times to entertain myself until September.

Really CAN'T wait, guys! Congratulations on the finish!
Oh and if you're calling phones to sing, let me know where the sign-up is for that dealy-o.

Yay! I can't wait to hear it! But, seeing as it is Christmas music, and, e'en though we should be celebrating Christmas every day, it's not Christmas yet, I suppose it is better to wait.
I'll just enjoy Ending is Beginning for now.

Thanks for the sneakpeeks you gave us! They were just long enough to really make me want to hear what comes next.

Lastly, Marc, you should do posts more frequently. I'm NOT saying Jeremy and Glenn are boring ('cause they aren't!), but your writing style is so...(guys, help me out here!)...interesting. Entertaining is more like it.

So long!

Yay! I can't wait for this either! I'm uber excited anytime DH has a new album coming out!

But, I, too, and one of those that could listen to Christmas music year round.

Thanks for the update!

I listen to a handful of Christmas music year round, but a Downhere Christmas album? It would be Christmas every day.

*patiently* (cough cough) waiting until September...

Hope to see you guys around the blog more often :o)

Hey guys!
I just watched Marc singing "Nessun Dorma" and then with Kevin Max. Real cool stuff! I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one who thinks Marc sounds like Max!
Thanks for sharing all these videos with us!! I'll see you next time you're in the area.
