Some, like Marc, are natural performers and quite good actors - think Marky-Mark and Donnie Wahlberg. They got their start in music, but maybe that was more because they had the ability to perform, not so much because they were great musicians (sorry to any NKOTB fans). But I'm sure there are a great many other musicians that feel like performing monkeys, and just put up with filming videos as part of the job.
